Sensational Saturdays Sugar Creek Hollow FABRIC challenge

Hello everyone and welcome to another Sugar Creek Hollow Sensational Saturday!  This week our challenge is to use fabric on our cards.  A bow does NOT count.  You can be creative with this in so many ways!  I must say that when I first saw this challenge I was a little frightened.  I don't sew and therefore don't really have a stitch of fabric in the house.   Then it hit me!  I do have some old jeans that are ripped and don't fit me anymore.  I thought maybe I could make some flowers out of them.  Then as I was turning them over and over the pocket caught my attention.  Why not make a pocket card out of an actual pocket?!  Due to the weight of the denim I did make my card out of some thin chipboard which I covered over with DP to give it enough strength to hold the candy bar up.  The cute I "heart" chocolate stamp is a new Valentine release from Sugar Creek Hollow.  It comes in a set of 4 tags.  I copied it twice and changed the color on one to navy blue and one to red.  Once I printed them I trimmed the red one to fit inside the blue one and added stickles.  The beautiful County Crinkle Ribbon is also from the SCH Shoppe.

The adorable butterfly is from SCH's Insect Tile (the butterfly tile).  I cropped him out of the stamp and then colored, trimmed and "stickled" him.

The hearts were created with a Martha Stewart heart punch and one of her deep edge punches.
I used red glitter on the large heart and then sealed it with a clear acrylic glaze.

The inside also uses a new release from SCH.  The You're so sweet circle tag is so versatile.  You could use this for Valentine's Day, a thank you card, birthday card etc.  The possibilities are endless.

To see what the other designers have created (you won't want to miss it) just visit the Sugar Creek Hollow Weekly Challenge Blog and we'd love for you to join along in our challenge! Everyone is invited to enter a card using fabric this week and you are not required to use an image from Sugar Creek Hollow BUT if you do you will get two entries into the random prize draw. The winner of that draw will receive a digi of their choice from the Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe and a badge to display on their blog. Once we reach a minimum of 10 entries, the Design Team will select a Card of the Week and the creator of that card will receive a special badge to display on their blog. Every month there will be a Guest Designer chosen from the Cards of the Week and that person will be invited to join the Design Team in a challenge. There are lots of reasons to enter so we can't wait to see your fabulous creations.

Did you know? - - - The proceeds of sales from the Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe go to provide food, clothing and shelter for those who are less fortunate. If you don't have any images from the Shoppe yet, check it out and when you buy something to use on your creations you can say that you have helped out too.

I've entered my card in the following challenges...

Sugar Creek Hollow digis:  Insect Tile, Chocolate Label, So sweet label

Martha Stewart: Heartbeat (deep edge punch) Lace Scallop Heart, Lace Heart edger punch
