Welcome to Sugar Creek Hollow's first Sensational Saturday of 2011!

Boy it feels good to be back.  It's not that I wasn't creating while Sugar Creek Hollow was on a break (and you NEED that break over the holidays!) but it sure feels good to be back with a "purpose".  I love having the DT goals and challenges to look forward to.  For our first day back we have a sketch challenge.

For my card I have chosen to use the Filigree Heart and the Princess Cat...okay she's actually the "Meowy Christmas" cat but she DOESN'T have to be used just at Christmas time.  I have changed her color to a pale blue to coordinate with my paper.  If you don't know how to change the color of a digital stamp I have a tutorial on CDAC.  (Crafter's Digital Art Center)  My phrase is a sticker.  I know the sketch didn't call for anything across the top like I've used but once I chose my papers I couldn't resist using the Country Crinkle Ribbon from SCH that I had and knew would match "purr"fectly.  (sorry, I couldn't resist!)  I'm not sure if I'm going to save this card for Mother's Day or just send it to my mom to brighten her day.  We'll see...

To see what the other designers have created (you won't want to miss it) just click here and we'd love for you to join along in our challenge!  Everyone is invited to enter a card using this sketch and you are not required to use an image from Sugar Creek Hollow BUT if you do you will get two entries into the random prize draw. The winner of that draw will receive a digi of their choice from the Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe and a badge to display on their blog. Once we reach a minimum of 10 entries, the Design Team will select a Card of the Week and the creator of that card will receive a special badge to display on their blog. Every month there will be a Guest Designer chosen from the Cards of the Week and that person will be invited to join the Design Team in a challenge. There are lots of reasons to enter so we can't wait to see your fabulous creations.

Did you know? - - - The proceeds of sales from the Sugar Creek Hollow Shoppe go to provide food, clothing and shelter for those who are less fortunate. If you don't have any images from the Shoppe  yet, check it out and when you buy something to use on your creations you can say that you have helped out too.
