Christmas Cardinal

This weeks DT challenge was to use either the primitive sheep or the cardinal from Sugar Creek Hollow.  I love them both but since I've already used the sheep (see original post here) I decided to try out the cardinal.  I used the sketch from this weeks Midnight Madness challenge (MMSC76).  I thought the layout was perfect for the cardinal and the swirl down the left side just begged to have the county crinkle ribbon be used for it!  By the way,  SCH has just released a bunch of new, GORGEOUS colors that you need to check out.  I bought a bunch and can't wait for my package to arrive!!

You can check out the design team blog here or visit the other designers blogs to see what they've created.  Their links are all on my right side bar of my blog.

  2. Renee you have framed this Cardinal with the most interesting paper and it is outstanding. It looks like wood. I love your embellishments too trailing up the side. Simply exquisite. Great job with the sketch. Thank you so much for playing along with the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.

  12. Renee this is gorgeous! You have such a knack at taking a simple image and just making it a masterpiece. I just love all the details and the filgree swirls you've added with puff paint is a great idea - so excellent.

I am loving all your photos too! So professional looking. And the frame around your pictures is a great touch - you'll have to tell me how that is done!
