Beautiful hummingbird

This pretty hummingbird is another image from Sugar Creek Hollow.  You can find the image in its original form (free hummingbird).   At first I went looking for it in the birds section so that I could link it for you and when I didn't see it there I checked the freebies.  Lucky for you that's where I found it!  So go on over to the SCH Shoppe and get yourself one.  Play around with it and when you see how cool digital stamps can be you can try some of the others.  One thing that I really like about them is the resizing.  I printed this circle to be about 2" and then I copied it into paint and flipped it.  I made that one a little smaller and trimmed out only the hummingbird so that I could use one facing the other one.  All that from one stamp!  The only thing I didn't take into account was that my spellbinders die would cut off the black border.  Next time I need to make it a little smaller or go up to the next size SB Circle.  I colored them with Copic markers and mounted the circle onto the petite scalloped circles.  The tan circle is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder as well as the side panel. I then used a Martha Stewart border on it.  The white lace circle is a doily.  You know the cheap ones you find in the cake supply aisle!  They come in white but you can always sponge ink on them to make them a different color.  A few buttons and a paper rose and I was done.

absolutely joyful, Renee'! I love the soft floral look and the use of the doily and beautiful cache of buttons! So lovely! I'd love to know how you curled the thread - it's stunning! So happy to be on the SCH team with you :)

Thanks for the kind words Kelly. I forgot to mention the spiral in my description. Actually it's the wire stem from the paper rose. I curled it around my paper piercer and attached it with a glue dot on the end. I look forward to working with you.
