It's Trash to Vintage Treasure with Sugar Creek Hollow

Today is another Sensational Saturday at Sugar Creek Hollow and it is also the first of the month so that means it is time for another TRASH TO VINTAGE TREASURE challenge. Your vintage card or other paper-crafted project must start with or include one or more items that you would normally throw away. This does not mean paper scraps in your stash but you can use them in addition to your recycled or re-purposed item. Please make sure you add a photo to your blog post of the throw-away item(s) you have used so we can see how your creativity began.

We will be choosing a random winner who will receive a digi of our choice and the Design Team will select a Card of the Week.

I'm really enjoying this new challenge.
This time I've made a utensil caddy for my kitchen counter.

The adorable papers are from the October Afternoon 5& Dime pad.
I cut up the black sheet and used only the food themed images.

So...where's my trash you ask?
It's the container.  It's made of a very sturdy plastic
so I think it will hold up quite nicely.  It's very large too
so I was able to fit a TON of utensils in it.

My papers were only 8x8 and didn't go all the way around
so I added a pretty strip trimmed with a border punch down the
seams to hide them.  It was a way for me to add a splash of
yellow to match my kitchen too.

I just picked up this "kitchen" stamp at JoAnn's.  It was
a set of two clear stamps for $1.  The other is a handcrafted
by stamp.  The wood button is also a $1 find but these
were from Michael's.
Cute huh?

The adorable image is from Rubbernecker stamps.
It's colored with Copic markers and the mattes
are from Spellbinders.

OMGoodness....this is so fun....loving that image and all the goodies all over it. What an ingenious way to recycle. Next Wed I'm showing how to recycle a pop top can. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is fantastic!! Thanks for showing it all the way around, nosey me was trying to read all of the embellies. Love making something that we can use, like I did for last month. Great way to recycle and have a useable item. That was a great find in the stamp at JoAnn's. Beautiful work my friend.

Fabulous project. I love the fun signs and the image although you look much younger than she does.
Hugs!
