Personalized Laptop Birthday card

My husband grew up on a lake.  Unfortunately his parents sold their house before he was financially able to buy it.  Now, we have to hope to find someone who will rent their cottage to us so our kids can enjoy the life (for a week or two) that he had growing up.  We were so very lucky to find a woman who will rent to us and she's so sweet.  When I sent her a thank you card after the last time we stayedthere she asked if I could make a card for her son's birthday.  He works with computers,
loves computer games and cooking.  Right now he is trying to perfect sourdough bread. Hmmmm.... kind of a tough combination.   But...last week on the way home from my daughter's dance class it suddenly hit me!  A laptop computer with a sourdough bread recipe on the screen!!!

The screen has a "glare" because I used some plastic packaging to create a realistic computer screen look.  The recipe was a page from Cooks.com that I printed and the keyboard was printed from Google images.

The border was done with an EK Success border punch and the tag is from Spellbinders.  I also used 2 Stampin' Up punches to make the tag.  There are metal photo corners and 2 metal "dots" on the tag because I love metal on masculine cards.  I wanted her to have a place to personalize the card so when it's completely open there is a light gray area that she can sign or write a little note to her son.
I really hope she likes it.  I'm always nervous when someone requests something personal.  Just because I think it's a good idea doesn't mean that they will...
