Boldt Castle Wedding

Hello and happy Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing a special request wedding card.  My friend attended a wedding a couple of weeks ago at Boldt Castle and she wanted a castle themed wedding card for the couple.

Since I didn't have a castle stamp I printed a photo of  a part of Boldt Castle and used that on the card.

The flourishes, hearts, banner and the die I used to cut the castle out are both from Spellbinders
and the For You sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Here's the inside of the card.  I loved the idea of using a skeleton key on it because I pictured those old, thick wooden castle doors needing a good old fashioned silver, metal skeleton key.

The heart border is from Martha Stewart and the heart dies are from Spellbinders.

Art Impressions New Release...Spinners!

Hello Ai fans!

Today Art Impressions is releasing another new fun, interactive series of stamps and dies.
These are called "Spinners" because you can wind them up and they spin.

I'm sharing the new Frosting Spinner.
Isn't he the cutest thing ever?!

The new challenge at Ai is cards with movement!  Fun, fun, fun!!

Here's another version I made.

The cool thing about these is that you can wind them up and then close them.  When the recipient opens the card...it spins.

The stamp sets come with a front and a back and they also have matching dies to make your life so much easier!

Art Impressions and Tombow blog hop!

Hello Ai fans!!

Today we have a "bonus" day for you!
We're having a blog hop with Tombow!

You probably got here from Latrice Murphy's blog but if you stumbled across my blog go the Art Impressions’ Blog to start!

For my project I created a birthday card using one of the latest Front and Back stamps.
This set is called Eat Itself Set (Sku#4567) and the coolest part?  It has a matching die set so you don't have to fussy cut it!!  Eat Itself Dies (Sku#4609)

I had this colored up and cut in no time!

The Front and Backs are a line of stamps where you can see the front of the image through a "window" and then when you open the card you can see the back.  Aren't they cute?

I've used several Tombow products on my card. (and they're wonderful!)

I used the foam adhesive to pop up the banner and the little text arrow.

The pastel colored dots to glue on my bow.

The Mono Adhesive Runner (clear) under my lace doily...

I also used the glue pen (not pictured) because you're able to write very fine lines like you need on a thin little die like the arrow.  Then you don't have glue oozing out and ruining your project.

...and the liquid glue to adhere all of the papers together.

We're also having a giveaway!

The Art Impressions prize includes: Elephant Set, Cat Big Mouth, The Queen Set and Joy Found Window.

To win, enter on the Rafflecopter above! You have until May 5th at 11:59 EST to enter. A winner will be picked randomly and announced on May 6th 2015.
