I'd like to be...under the sea

Hello Ai fans!
This is a card that I've been so excited to share.  My son loves The Beatles and this was his birthday card.  I used several Art Impressions sets to make this.

My color inspiration came from this artwork that I found online.

I printed all 4 of the Beatle faces to put inside the sub.
The sub is from the newer 5397 – Submarine Cubbies set.

The bottom half of my card was modeled after the artwork from Ringo's book.

I just love ocean themed cards and this one was extra special because I customized it for my son.

The octopus was a freebie.  You can earn a freebie every time you order $30 of more from Art Impressions.

His crown comes from the 5390 – Mini Accents 2.
The ocean floor has several Mini Die sets on it.
I used the 5325 – Sail Mini Dies for the anchor,
the 5332 – Health Mini Dies for the sea urchin (I cut the ends of the germ to make it) and I used the 5329 – Beach Mini Dies for some of the seashells.

I decorated the inside of the card with one of the Cubbie sentiments and more of the fish.
My son loved this!

Copics used:

Slimline Submarine Cubbie from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

It's time for a new challenge at Art Impressions!

We're keeping it simple.  This is a challenge that everyone should
be able to participate in...both watercolor artists and fans of the regular Art Impressions stamps.

The challenge for the next two weeks is...

I'm so excited to share this newer set called 5397 – Submarine Cubbies

The Cubbies are one of my all time favorite series of stamps.

I've been really into metallic papers and shimmers lately.  I've tried to take several
photos at different angles so you can see the shimmer.

It's amazing how different a photo can look depending on the angle.  The photo above looks like the fish are dark blue or black.  You can see in this second photo that there is a light blue metallic paper behind them.

The animals and the sub are all covered in Wink of Stella.

Can you see the difference between these photos and the reflections?  It almost looks like it lights up in real life.  All of the cubbies are so super sweet.  I can't decide which my favorite is.  The bonus is that these sets come with dies to cut these tiny images so that you don't need to worry about fussy cutting.
