I Brake for Graduating Ballerinas!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a slightly unorthodox graduation card with you.
My daughter's best "dance" friend graduated last week and we went to her party last night.

I used Half Sheet Ballerina.
If you act fast there are a couple of these sets on overstock so they're on sale.

Also, don't forget you can always use my code
to save 10% off your entire orderSAVE10RENEE.
The code can be used over and over and it never expires.

I thought the verse in this set was perfect for a young girl heading off to college.  She wants to be an occupational therapist.  Go Ally!

We met Ally and her mom when they transferred to Makena's dance studio.  We all became fast friends and they did several duos and trios together each year for about 6 yrs.

On the inside I used another image from the half sheet and also the phrase

I used some Stickles on her tutu to give her lots of sparkle.

The girls duet...No the moms didn't plan our outfits along with them but it made for a fun picture!

Image may contain: 4 people, including Makena Matarese and Renee Matarese, people smiling, people standing and shoes

Sweet little Ballerina thank you card

Hello and happy Thursday!

Today I'm sharing a thank you card that I made for one of my daughter's dance teachers.  Each year I make all the cards for the teachers.  I'll be sharing them over the next week or so.

This is bittersweet for me because this was Makena's last year dancing.
She graduated and will be heading off to college in the fall.
I'm not sure if the remaining moms will ask me to make cards or not.

I Brake for Beautiful Ballerinas!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a Dutch Fold card that I made using a ballerina that can be found 3 ways at I Brake for Stamps.

I have the full sheet because let's face it...they're all awesome stamps and I had to have them all.

I have a few types of cards that are my favorite to make.  I love masculine cards, nautical, funny and dance.  I'm not a dancer but my daughter was for 14 years. She just graduated and is heading off to college.  She doesn't plan to dance at this point.  She wants to get settled in and see how things go.  I'm hoping she'll take it back up though because she has such a talent.  I'd love to see her up on stage again.

As I said...she's heading off to college in just a few weeks. Please don't judge!!  This is the card that I plan to send her for Valentine's Day with a little care package.  Yes, I'm planning that far ahead.

Don't forget...you can always save 10% off every order you make at I Brake for Stamps when you use my coupon code.

It never expires and can be used every time you shop.

I use Timehop for my social media and it just popped up that 4 years ago she got her first pair of Pointe shoes and that she was going to wear them out before her summer workshop even started. Her final Pointe dance this year was nothing like the beautiful ballerina you see here.  They did a Tango!  Yes, a tango.  It was amazing!

I haven't done anything to the inside of the card yet.  If I were to fill it out right now I might embarrass her...insert mom with "ugly crying face" here!

Dance Teacher Thank You card

Hello and happy Tuesday!

This is the final thank you card that I'll be sharing for my daughter Makena's dance teachers.  She graduated and after 14 years will not be dancing in the fall.
This card was for the studio owner who was her main teacher all those years.

I used a gate fold to make it a little more formal.

The inside didn't photograph well but it turned out nice in person.

And when you get the chance, I hope you dance.
I think this is such a fitting way to end Makena's dance career.

Maybe she'll choose to dance at college.
She's planning to wait for now and see how busy her course load is.
Either way I just want her to be happy.
Love you Mahkey!

Dance teacher thank you card

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing another dance teacher thank you card.

Dance was my daughter's passion. She's undecided if she'll continue to dance when she goes to college though.  She wants to get settled in and then see if she has time for it.

Dance Teacher Thank You card

Hello and happy Thursday!

Today I'm sharing another dance teacher thank you card.

I just fell in love with this verse when I saw it.  This was so my daughter and her friends when they were goofing around during breaks.  I'm going to miss all the dance moments!

Dance Teacher Thank You

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing another dance teacher thank you card.

I used a Quickutz die for the dancer and mounted her on acetate so that you could see through to the dance paper on the inside.

I placed a spot on the back of the card where I could
jot a little thank you for the teacher.

Flaunt it!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing my last dance teacher card.
This card went to the owner Miss Nicky.

This year they had a dance called Red Lips that they won many awards for so I did the Lips prop in red glitter.  The girls also wore red glitter on their lips.  My girly is the second in from the right.  I wish you could see their lips better.  They looked SO cool!

Copics used:

T1, C00, C7, R17, R22, R27, R59, Y21
E00, E02, E25, E50, E51, E57, E81, E93, E97

Thank you for a dance teacher

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing one of the dance cards that I made for Makena's teachers.
I've had a huge bin of flowers on a shelf for years and I realized I don't use them nearly enough.  I think a 3-D flower on a card is really pretty.

I added some flatback rhinestones and sequins for a little bling.

The verse inside just really seemed to fit Miss Becky.
