I Brake for Beautiful Blue Flowers!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing another of the flowers from the beautiful full sheet called MS49.  I was in the mood for some blue flowers and I chose some navy paper to accent it.

As I often do...(or rather DON'T do) I couldn't decide what occasion I wanted this card to be for.  It might become a birthday, sympathy or simply a "thinking of you" card in the future.

The white background paper is actually embossed though it's rather difficult to see in the photos.  The one below is the best that I could get.

I Brake for Beautiful Daisies!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card Spring-like card.
I don't mind winter but around this time of year we occasionally get a nice 50-60 degree day and it makes me long for Spring.

I really like this sheet of stamps because it's a nice selection of Flowers and Fall stamps.  I can't wait until my daisies come up.  It's usually around 4th of July.

I haven't finished the inside because this card could be used for so many occasions.  I'll wait until something comes up and do it then.

I Brake for Stained Glass Lilys!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing another image from one of my favorite lines...Stained Glass at I Brake for Stamps

This stamp is called Stained Glass Lily.

I used some Wink of Stella on my card.
I love that hint of shimmer it gives.
I haven't decided yet if this will be a Valentine's Day or a birthday card.

I've been on a lily kick lately which I hope is okay with you.
They're just so pretty!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Happy New Year!

For my first post of the year I wanted to share something bright and cheery.
I've used STARGAZERS.

I was drawn to this stamp because my wedding bouquet was comprised of Stargazer Lillies.  It's such a bold, beautiful flower.

I know that mums are generally a fall flower but I wanted to make this bright and summery for any birthdays that might pop up over the next few months.

I Brake for Flowers and Butterflies!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made using

I bent the butterfly wings up and only glued the body down so that it looked like they were flying off the page.

I used some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the flower centers and added some stickles to the flowers and butterflies.

I didn't complete the inside yet.  I'm waiting to see what occasion it will be used for.  I think it would be appropriate for so many celebrations...birthday, bridal shower, anniversary or even as a sympathy card.

My daughter is visiting colleges right now and recently went on an overnight visit to a school that she is considering.  At Elmira College she was able to spend the night with a current college student and then the next morning meet some of the professors in her curriculum and see some of the classrooms.

Elmira's colors are Purple and Gold and the school flower is the Iris.  I'll bet the campus is going to be stunning in a month or so when all the Iris flowers are in bloom.

We wanted to thank the young woman that hosted her and I knew these two stamp sets were just perfect!

I thought this verse would be meaningful for a college student.

I used Copic markers to color the flowers and butterfly and I used Colorbox Fluid Chalk ink in 2 shades of purple and olive green to make the dots on the inside of the card.  I have a gold glitter paint pen that I outlined some of the edges in.
