Simon Says Stamp & Art Impressions Exclusive Holiday Flip Card

Hello Ai and Simon Says Stamp fans!

Today I'm sharing a card using the new Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Holiday Flip Card stamp set from Art Impressions!

The set includes snowmen and penguins!
You can find the set HERE.

The flip cards are cut using the 5103 – Flip Card Die.

If you're not familiar with the flip card series they have a verse and image for the front of the card then you "flip it open" and on the inside you see the rest of the verse and the back of the image.

Copics used:

R29, R46, R56, R81, YG17, YG67,
Y26, YR21, B21, N0, N2, N4, N6

Shaker displays and shake those Tic Tacs!!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm so happy to be sharing some new Christmas sets from Art Impressions with you!
The first set I used is called Christmas Cheer Set (Sku#4666).

Over at Art Impressions there's a fun challenge going on...

I made a fun shaker card perfect for any adult or child!  My first step was to cut the pieces for the Easel to hold it up and the front frame and background. Square Easel Die (Sku#4699)

Next I added the acetate to hold in my "shake" items.  I glued and taped it to be sure nothing snuck out.

I added a triple layer of Scotch foam tape.  I need to make sure there was enough room between the acetate and background that all the little shake items could move around.

Then I added the beads and removed the tape backing.

I affixed the background paper and had this...ready to add my adorable Art Impressions image and sentiment.

Look at those beautiful beads, sequins and baubles.

I colored the penguin and added foam dimensional tape to pop him up.

Here's the easel die that will support my sweet little Christmas scene.

Look at all those fun baubles that the CUTE, CUTE penguin has behind him.

I recently discovered the Marvy markers at Ai.  I'm loving them for adding detail to my copic coloring.

I....LOVE....SPARKLE!

The other set I use was Holly Jolly Set (Sku#4667).
I saw something similar to this on Pinterest.  They took the snowman's tummy out to show the Tic Tacs.  What a cute little gift, right?

Happy Christmas from Mr. Penguin

About a week ago I posted almost the same exact card but I made the other one with a polar bear.  I like the bold, unexpected colors of this card.  Even though I do have the very traditional Christmas red on it I like the contrast it creates with the bright blue and black.  It's amazing what you can get for $1!  This little guy is a clear stamp and is so much fun.  I stamped him on white paper,  colored him with my Copic markers and then cut him out and pasted him on to the gray paper.  Happy Christmas!

Card makings:
Clear $1 stamps (maybe inkadinkado?)
Satin ribbon
Spellbinders label and poinsettia dies
Poinsettia punch
buttons
Copic markers
Stickles
recollections border punch

Let it snow

These cute stamps were from the JoAnn's $1 bins. The penguin and phrase came as a set and I got the snowflake as well. The border and corner are a new Martha Stewart coordinating set. The snow is actual Christmas tree snow that I've had for years. I hadn't embossed for a while so I embossed the snowflake. I'm so far behind in my Christmas cards. I'm never going to be ready.
