Sugar Creek Hollow Technique challenge

Hello everyone!  This week at Sugar Creek Hollow we were challenged to either use lace or make our own faux lace on a card.  I chose to use some lace that I had on hand.  It was an old, stained tablecloth that I decided would be fine to cut up.  I paired it with some beautiful flocked paper and used the Eastern Bluebird which I LOVE!  There is also a bow made from Tracy's famous country crinkle ribbon.   I wanted this one to look really authentic so I googled Eastern Bluebirds and tried to copy the colors from an actual photo of one.  I'm pleased with how it turned out.  Now I know that a real bluebird doesn't have sparkles (thanks to stickles) on it's wings but I have trouble making a card without at least some sparkle so I chose to go with it!

Please be sure to check out all of the other projects that the rest of the SCH design team members have created!  There is so much inspiration to be had out there.

and...hey!  If you play along with the challenge let me know!  I'd love to check out your creation!  To play along simply go over to the STORE and download one of their FREEBIES.  Link your card, and leave us a comment that you have done so. Your card or project MUST have LACE and must be a Sugar Creek Hollow image. The winner will be notified via email and gets a free Digi Stamp of your choice from the store.  Good luck!

My dear teammate, this is elegantly stunning! You have nailed that blue bird to perfection and I think you are allowed to take some artistic license with the glitter. It adds just the right amount oomph(sp) to draw the eye to this handsome bird. Such a lovely, lovely piece of art!!

Absolutely fabulous. Your bluebird is so nicely coloured and I love the layout. Now I know what to do with the lace tablecloth my MIL insisted I had to have when we got married even though it doesn't go with any decor we have ever had. She lives 2000 miles away in a nursing home so she will never know - shhh.
Hugs!
