Sugar Creek Hollow Vintage Beach Challenge plus a tutorial

This week the challenge is to make a vintage beach card.

I printed a vintage beach house scene from the internet
and then incorporated it into my beachy themed card.

The corner and flower are from Marianne's Creatables.
The frame is from Spellbinders.  Can you see in the photos
how my paper looks kind of soft like suede?  Take a look
below for a tutorial.

Make your own suede paper!
If you look closely at my photos above you'll notice that
my paper looks very soft.  I wish I could have gotten better
photos but I think you can tell.  Well, I made that paper myself!
Okay, I didn't MAKE the paper, but I gave it the soft, suede look.
1. First you need to pull out your paper crimper.
2. Run your paper through the crimper several times in
all sorts of directions. Mine sort of looked like a waffle
when I was finished.

3. Take your finger nails and peel apart the two layers.
Try to be gentle because the layers will be thinner
now since you're separating them.  Inside is a beautiful
soft texture that's great for so many projects.

Renee, I love your card. The waves in front of this beautiful scene are perfection and love the paper, I have done that before and it makes great flowers. The texture in your card is my favorite part. Tfs the tutorial.
