Mother's Day card

I sold a few Mother's Day cards and this was one she didn't choose. She thought it implied too much that the card was for "your own" mother and she was buying these to give to friends of hers who are mothers. For this one I used a heart from Inkadinkado, a phrase from the Stampin' Up Lots of Thoughts set and the little "mother" is from one of those clear sets that you get in the dollar bins at A.C. Moore. I used maroon velvet paper, cream lace ribbon (also a $1 A.C. Moore find) and the brackets are from a Cornish Heritage Farms set... Hinges. The phrase is punched out with the Stampin' Up word window.

The kids are home from school today so Makena and I baked some "Mom and Me" brownies that she brought home for Mother's Day. We already sampled them and they are YUMMY!! She says they are the best!
