Santa Belly Ornament with Art Impressions Dies

Happy Christmas Eve Eve everyone!

Here's a quick ornament I made with two 5th grade classes at school.

It's made with 100% Art Impressions dies except for the buckle.

I used:
5463 – Slimline Dies Set for the fur and belt
and
5718 – Mini Journal Template for the hanger.
The buckle is from a very old Sizzix Red die called Charms, Buckles

Snowman Puppet Ornaments from Art Impressions

 Hey everyone!

Last week I shared a cream and gold snowflake slimline card.

This week I have two snowman ornaments for the Art Impressions Making Spirits Bright challenge.

One is a Front and Back "see through" ornament and the other features the snowman front with a sentiment on the back.

His clothes are cut from 5812 – Christmas S2 Paper Pack and I framed him using
5727 – Nested Oval Dies.

I added some stitching where I pieced his coat together on his back.

The little hanger hook was cut from 5718 – Mini Journal Template.

On the back of this one I stamped a sentiment from 5566 – Christmas Sentiments.

He's stamped on Canson XL WC Paper Pad – 9×12 and I used Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White paint on his hat.

More wine cork ornaments

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing a few more of the wine cork ornaments that I made.

They really are simple.  I just drill a whole through the center of the cork,  use a thin piece of wire to lead the string through the whole and add your beads.

Wine cork ornament

Hello everyone!  Christmas is almost upon us!
This year I made several wine cork ornaments to give to family and friends.  Last year I experimented with one or two and a friend of mine ended up with one.  It inspired her and her daughter to decorate a tree completely in corks.  There is a local museum that displays decorated trees and auctions them off.  This is a big fund raiser for them and I loved that I inspired her.  There are photos below of me with her tree.

I have several more that I haven't had time to photograph yet.  When I get them done I'll share those too.

Here is the tree with all the corks.  She made ornaments, garland and even did a star with corks.

Merry Christmas!!

Wine cork ornaments

Hi everyone!
I recently started cooking with wine...
after the 5th glass I forgot why I was in the kitchen!

I have another wine themed project to share with you.  This time I've made wine cork ornaments.  I used a drill to make a hole down the center (NOT while drinking wine, lol!!) and then threaded the string up through it.  I made a needle "threader" with some thin wire to feed it through.

I see lots more of these in my future.  I love working with all the pretty beads.

Dad's cork ornament

My sister got married in March '08 and for her bachelorette party we rented a jumbo van and toured some of the Finger Lakes wineries. Our maiden name is Knapp so when we were at Knapp Winery her Maid of Honor asked if she could get a cork or two to do something for her. Well, they gave us about a 100 of them! The MOH made my sister a cute necklace by alternating corks with flower petals. It came out great and lucky me... she gave me the left over silk flowers which I have been enjoying using! She also gave me the corks because she said she'd never use them again. I thought it would be cute to make my Dad and step-mom an ornament with one. I used a paper piercer to poke a hole down the center and then strung some thin wire through it. I wove the ribbon around the wire for the top and at the bottom I strung some beads and added a bow. I think for a first try it came out pretty. I hope they agree.
