I Brake for Dinosaurs!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a 2nd grade boy at my school.

I work in his mom's classroom and I know he has recently become obsessed with dinosaurs.  I used an image from the Carmen Medlin line and hand-wrote the speech bubbles.

This set is called Me and My Lil Buddy and it's from the Curiosities 3 Set.

Hopefully Henry enjoys puns the way I do!!

I also made a slightly less 2nd grade version below for a friend of mine.

I know this will make her laugh.  I've blurred the word in this photo but not in the one below it so only scroll down if you're not going to be offended.

We're all stressed due to the state of the world right now but I think a little humor will help us get through this together...yet socially distanced!! lol!!

New ART IMPRESSIONS Easter and Valentines!

Hello Ai fans!

Happy New Year!

I'm honored to have the first post of 2019 and to show off these two beautiful, fun new sets to you!

The new challenge is Pretty Pastels.

Each year Art Impressions releases new Valentine and Easter sets and mean NO disrespect to the previous releases but this Valentine set ROCKS!!  It's one of my favorite sets of all time and I just got it!!  Anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals and puns.  This set was made for me!!

I don't like to show favorites but the beaver definitely came out on top for me!

I mean...how can you not love that face?!

This set is geared towards Valentine's Day but I can see using these images for anniversaries or birthdays and just using different sentiments with them.

I'm already thinking about masking off the heart and adding a cupcake to his hands!

Here's the inside of the beaver card.

I used Arteza Real Brush Pens (watercolor) to color the beaver.

A135, 137, 173, 178 as well as a few Copic markers. BG0000, BG10, E31, E35, E43, E93, C0

Not to be outdone...what do you think about this sweet porcupine?

Oh my gosh!  I just want to HUG him!  Well...maybe not!

Hello Ai fans!

Today, to go along with the recent  Art Impressions release of new Ai People I'm sharing a card made with the Incredibowl Set (sku# 4530).

I usually bowl about once a year so she's probably better than me, plus I don't have a cute shirt like she does. (and I think that matters...I'd definitely bowl better if I looked the part!)

It's Gordon Golfer! New Ai People!!

Hello Ai Fans!

What an exciting day this is!!  I get to share a brand new Art Impressions image called Gordon Golfer.  He's part of the Ai People line.  

I love these big images.  They look great colored or paper pieced.  You can create some really fun outfits by using designer paper to make their pants, shirts etc.

I chose to color this time.  Check my blog on Thursday to see another new Ai image and this time I paper pieced her outfit.

A friend of ours recently hurt his neck

golfing and is in rough shape.  I thought

this card might cheer him up.

The stamp is from Art Impressions and is

from their line of PUN stamps.

The image is called "RECOVERED".

 

I made the band aids by embossing some paper

with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder.

The corners are from Marianne's Creatables.

The chair was made to look like his easy chair

where he's been spending a lot of time lately.

Hope it cheers him up a bit.
