Lighthouse Journal cards from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing two cards made with the template from the new 5543 – Journal Template Die Set

I cut the window panes out of the rectangular window and glued them on the back of the ornate frame.
I used 5466 – Lighthouse Set5465 – Cliffs Set and 5473 – Seagull Set for the images on the front of my cards. I also used two dies from 5325 – Sail Mini Dies.

I liked that when I folded the card you could see part of the inside.  It gives you a sneak peek about what's inside.  I used one of the border dies on the inside edge.

The sentiment, flying gulls and little anchor are from 5399 – Gull-Friends Set and the rest of the images are from the Seagull set.

The sailboat is from 5184 – Baby Boy Set.

For this card I went bolder with the colors on my lighthouse.

I often work at my kitchen table when I'm coloring and I love these Grid-Lined Placemats – 10 Sheets to protect my work area.  I'd be so upset if I got marker or glue on my table. There are 3 different designs to choose from.  I chose the design that matches my Ai Queen of Craft Mug – 15oz.

I Brake for Lighthouses

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a thank you card that I made using
MS97 Full Plate.

Don't forget...you can always
when you use my coupon code

It never expires and can be used over and over again!

I Brake for Stamps
has many beautiful nautical images (and I own most of them) but I think this sheet is my favorite!

There are so many gorgeous images on this sheet.
I've many of them several times.

My daughter just had her high school graduation and two days later she turned 18.  Her best friend's dad and girlfriend took her out to dinner for graduation, cooked her her favorite meal that they make for her birthday, gave her a beautiful necklace and a generous cash gift.

They also invited her to go to Myrtle Beach with them.  She wasn't able to tag along on the vacation due to the fact that she was a featured artist at a local art gallery that week.  I decided to make their card with a nautical theme.

I printed a verse on my computer to thank them.

I Brake for Boathouses!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a co-worker.
She and her husband run a Marina, hotel, pool club and some shops in Wilson, N.Y. besides her being a teacher.  This spring they added a restaurant, The Wilson Boathouse, to their "family."

I've used a couple of stamps from MS97 FULL PLATE from

The new restaurant is almost directly north of Buffalo on Lake Ontario.

Don't forget...you can always SAVE 10% when you use my coupon code

It never expires and can be used over and over again.

Here's the inside where I personalized it.

The rocks and seaweed/fish are also from the set.
The other items are die cuts.

New Lighthouse Circlet from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!  Today I'm sharing a new set from one of my favorite series at Art Impression...the Circlet MTFs.

The new set I'm featuring is called Lighthouse Circlet MTF

These sets are made to have 3 panels.  Each time you open one it reveals a new panel.

You can stretch the set even further by using them individually on a card if you don't have time to make an elaborate trifold.

Join us at Art Impressions for the latest challenge.
They're looking for circles or something round.

I Brake for Beaches!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my Father-In-Law's birthday card with you.
He lives in Florida and loves the water so I often make him a nautical themed card.
I've used several images from MS97 Full Plate.
On the front I used the one of the smaller lighthouses because I wanted it to appear that it was in the distance a bit.
I also used the sailboat.

Don't forget...you can always SAVE 10% off your entire order when you use my coupon code...

It never expires and can be used over and over again!

I hand drew in the lines for the sky, water and sand. I used a very thin Marvy marker to make some tufts of sea grass.  I also added a couple more stepping stones.

On the inside I used some rocks with sea grass and the bottle with sand. The verse is from Every Day Phrases.

Even though I don't love the beach...I'm very pale so I burn easily...plus I don't like things touching me when I'm swimming.  Plus the sand gets everywhere...plus...well, you get the point.  In spite of that, Nautical cards are one of my all time FAVORITE cards to make!!  I'm going to get tons of use out of this sheet.

Windows to the World

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing two Windows to the World cards made with Art Impressions images.

This is the front of the card.  You're looking through the window to the beautiful lighthouse outside.

Aren't the curtains adorable?

On the inside of the card you see the lighthouse better.

In this shot you can see the front window and the inside view. The Windows to the World are such great sets!

You can choose just about any scene that you want to see out your window.

For this card I chose the Swan scene.

Are you sensing that I like to be around water?  I actually far prefer a pond or lake to the ocean.
Isn't this such a pretty image?

Here's the inside.
