Tony's Tiny Joke Book

 Hello Ai fans!

I had a request for a birthday card for a 9 year old boy.

One of the things I was told he likes was "9 year old boy humor."

I very much like lame dad jokes and instantly thought of making him his own little
journal full of jokes he can tell people.

I'll start by showing you the box I made to give it in and the cover and first two pages.
The box was created using 5805 – Mini Journal Box Dies and 5940 – Journal Cover Paper Pack – Plaid.
The sentiment is from 5866 – Mini Birthday Sentiment Set.

The journal and frame dies are from 5718 – Mini Journal Template.
I only did a "half journal" because I'm limited in time. This means I only cut the journal template twice so it looks like a regular book and not a fold out journal. I still plan to hopefully fit 10 jokes into it.

Here are the first two pages, the inside of the cover and the front of page one.
I used the corner die to hold the flaps closed. The little octopus is from retired 5397-Submarine Cubbies Set and the sweet duck is from 5180 – Barnyard Animal Cubbies.

The journal and pages are made from 6058 – Baby Boy Paper Pack.

Stay tuned at a later date for more jokes from Tony's Tiny Joke Book!
LOL!!!

LET'S...PAR TEE!

 Hello Ai fans!

My Brother-in-law has a birthday in 3 days and he lives on a golf course.

Yes, for real. His back and side yard butt up to the greens of the course.

Though I don't think he golfs as much as he used to, I think he'll like this card.

This golfer is an older image so there are no dies with him. He did require fussy cutting
but the paper creates an instant background which saves time, balancing thing out.

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone.
Though I didn't share a card for the holiday, hopefully you enjoy the green!
Have a great day.

Happy 5th Birthday Tony!

Hello and Happy Monday!

Today I'm sharing a card a friend ordered for her nephew's 5th birthday.

He really loves dinosaurs and I do too so I was really excited to make this.

I've made other cards for Tony but this time he's 5 so that's really special!

My dinosaur is from Carmen Medlin designs from the Curiosities Set 3 and is called Me and My Lil Buddy Set.  I used watercolor brushes to color them and made highlights with a white gel pen.

Dance it out! From Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing the birthday card that I made for my step-dad.  I used

This is fun set with SO MANY sentiments in it.  I used one on the front and another on the inside.

I used 5135 – Hexagon Double Stitched Dies to frame the image.

I made a second, similar vertical version.  You'll notice that in the first photo there's no balloon and in the next one there is.  There's a reason for that.

So...I took the photo and then picked up the card to place on my shelves where I keep my completed cards.  Apparently there was something on my finger and it left a smudge on the card.  I didn't want to redo the entire main image but didn't want to scrap the card.  I thought about what to do for a minute and decided to get my balloon punch out.  I think he looks happy to have a balloon and I didn't have to redo anything.

I used a different verse on the inside of this card.  They're all so fun that it was difficult to choose.

Born to MOW!

Hello Ai fans!

You all know how much I love making masculine cards so I love the 5044 – Born To Ride Set.

I apologize for the for the sentiment in the photo...it doesn't look that way in real life.  On the actual card it's clear and crisp.

I think we all know this guy.  (or at least have seen him on our street! lol!)
Throw some headphones on him and he'd be my husband.  Well, whoever he is he makes an awfully darn cute birthday, Father's Day card etc.

My Hero...The Weekend Warrior!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing
from their Father's Day Heroes line.

My card is for the Masculine Cards challenge on the Ai Blog.

This guy is perfect for anyone that has helped you out with a little DIY project up to, who knows??  Building a new deck! (Yes, things we've had help with)

I'm not exactly sure what this type of fold is called but I thought it work well for this card because I wanted to add a lot of tools but not cover the main image up.

The Backyard Boss! from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing two cards that I made using Art Impressions
4377 – Backyard Boss set from the Father's Day Heroes line.

My daughter just graduated from high school and we had her party last Sunday.  My brother-in-law flew in on Thursday and spent his entire time here helping us out to prepare for the party.

I made him this thank you card and we're going to get him a gift card and include it in this card when I mail it.

I made a second version that's similar but not a thank you card. This one could be used for Father's Day, a birthday or just because!

I used the same colors on both characters but I feel like the different papers made them look quite different.

To the Backyard Boss...you're my hero!

I Brake for Elvis!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made using a set that I just received
and what a fun set it is!!

I don't have anyone in mind for this card yet but I always like to have a few birthday cards lying around just in case.

On the inside I used the music notes from the set and a verse from an old, retired set that I've had for years.

Don't forget...you can always
when you use my coupon code

It never expires and can be used over and over again!

Golf and Taxes! Raffle basket...

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing the final golf themed card that went into the raffle basket my husband and I put together for his friends benefit.

I used the retired image from Art Impressions called Golf and Taxes.

Though you can't get this one anymore they still have lots of fun golf images and sets.  You can check them out here.

You can see my other golf cards here. There are cards for both men and women and some that could be unisex.   Be kind as you judge them...some of these go back 10 yrs to when I first started making cards!

This is the inside of my card.

Here's the basket we assembled.  It was a raffle where you buy tickets and then place them in the bag for the basket you'd like to win.  I have to admit...I was nosy.  I peeked in our bag and phew!!  There were a lot of tickets in there!
