Tap dance teacher thank you

Thank you Miss Becky!

The main image is some clip are that I printed.

I chose the black and red color scheme since most of their costumes this year were black and white or had red in them.

Tap dance teacher thank you card

Hello and happy Monday!
Today I'm sharing a card that I made for one of my daughter's dance teachers.
The competition moms had asked me to make 8 of them in total. (this is number 3 or 4 that I've shared so far)  These were such fun cards to make because being dance themed and for women I got to use lots of sparkle, flowers and bling!  My favorite things!

This was Miss Becky's card.
She teaches tap so that's why I went with the silhouette of a tap dancer.

The verse on the top is a chipboard die cut.  The "From the heart" and "You are so special" (on the inside) phrases are from I Brake For Stamps and are from a sheet called EVERY DAY PHRASES.

I went over the dancer's body in black stickles.
It looked really cool in person.

Becky's style is pretty bold so I went with lots of bright colors and patterns.
She also is a music major and that's where her true passion lies so I added the music notes for that reason.

I Brake For Dancers!

Hello everyone!
Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my daughter's dance teacher.  Over the years she's become a friend to us and fortunately only lives 2 miles from us.  She brings Makena home for me on many nights freeing me up to do, well, unfortunately nothing very exciting...laundry, grocery shopping etc...

I completely appreciate her for this and each year at Christmas and at the end of dance season I give her a thank you card and a little gift.

This is the card that I made for her most recently.  I've used BALLERINA #2 from I Brake For Stamps on her card.

Competition Bin

Makena has her first dance competition today and they need to have a bin to hold all of their hair stuff, make-up, shoes etc. We had an old plastic tool box lying around that I used to use for my craft stuff before I had a room to organize it in. No little girl wants a gray Craftsman box her for girly dance things so we fixed that! We spent the last two days cutting, coloring and gluing! She picked everything from the paper to the stamps to where everything went. It's all her design and coloring for the most part. I just did the intricate cutting and gluing so the things were straight. We had so much fun working on it together and can't wait for people to see it. We used a lot of sizzix dies on it for the ballerina and letters. The flowers are mostly Stampin' Up stamps with a few others thrown in. The dance stamps and fairy are from Inkadinkado. I even used some old paper punch containers for things like her sewing kit and bobby pins. We covered those with paper as well as the mirror back to match the bin. She's happy and that's all that matters. We'll let you know how she did tomorrow. Break a leg, Makena!!
