Happy Birthday Devon

On Monday my nephew turned 14.  His current love
is golf.  For the last 2 yrs. he's made the Little League PGA Golf
All-Star team and gone out to California.  He's done well too.
As you may have noticed I have TONS of golf stamps but
most of them are "old" people.  At least I'm sure those are
the words he would use.  So, I decided to "free-hand" a golf
green and go from there.

The sentiment is from Art Impressions.  The image is from
Stampendous.  The ball and hole were made with Spellbinders
dies.  I embossed the ball with a Cuttlebug folder and the grass
was done with a Sizzix texture plate.  The number 14 was
a Sizzix Sizzlitt set.

It's soccer season!

Soccer season?  That makes it sound like it's a temporary occurrence.  In our house soccer lasts from the last week of August until the 3rd week of June.  My kids have a lot of friends who play soccer and I know this card will come in handy.  I tried repeatedly to cut the pentagons freehand with no luck so ultimately I ended up printing a template.  I drew in the lines with a black marker and then painted the black squares and gray highlighting with acrylic paint.   I really like how realistic looking it turned out.

Card makings:

Creative Memories: circle cutter
Quickutz: Grass die
Art Impressions: Sentiment
Acrylic paint
Small soccer ball: Inkadinkado
