Look at what I learned!

I made this card with the cute alpha flash cards set from Sugar Creek Hollow.  It comes in a set of 4 but I only used 1 for this card.  The cool thing is that when you download it it's black.  How did I make it red then?  I read on a new website that I joined called Crafters Digital Art Center that there is a free photo software called Gimp that you can use to do this.  It was very easy.  A couple of clicks and I could make the image any color that I wanted.  Since I work in a school I'm sure I will get lots of use out of this set.  After I trimmed the flashcard I mounted it on a Spellbinder's scalloped rectangle.  I also printed the card twice so that I could pop up the apple.  The adorable embossed apples are from QuicKutz and the border was made with a Recollections punch.

You can download the Gimp software that I used here...
and the tutorial for changing the color is here...

Fabulous card. I love all the dimension and the fun ribbon treatment. My 4 yr. old Granddaughter goes to JK next month so this image will be a great one to use for a card for her.
Hugs!
