Elegant Snowflakes from Art Impressions

 I really love all of the cutesy style Christmas stamps that Art Impressions offers but sometimes I want something a little more elegant. I felt that these snowflakes were just the thing.

My card is for the Making Spirits Bright challenge here on the Art Impressions blog right now.

When I saw this set I snatched it up immediately!  It's one of my all-time favorite die sets.
5353 – Large Snowflake Dies

I used the Canson XL WC Paper Pad – 9×12 paper because I wanted something more cream colored rather than bright white.  I also wanted it to have a little texture.

For the snowflakes I die cut some and left them in.  For some I die cut it a second time and glued a second layer on top so they are a little popped up.

I used Wink of Stella and Prima Marketing 584276 Watercolor Confections: Decadent Pies to make some clear and gold sparkle splatters on it with a paint brush.

For some, I removed the inside pieces of the white paper and added gold inside. A few rhinestones and pieces of confetti completed the look.

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card made with the 5219 – Lovable Animals Set.

It's actually a Valentine's Day set but I'm using it for my niece's birthday.

I love all the Art Impressions animal sets but this is one of my favorites!

It comes with dies so you don't have to fussy cut the images!

I also made a slimline version

The dies I used were the large heart and the two dies that cut out the fox and gift package.  The XO is also a verse in the set in addition to the You're Paw-some.

Hang On! Santa's Coming

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a fun Christmas card with you.  I thought this poor little reindeer was so sad looking.  I hope Santa arrives soon to rescue him. 

On my very tall Christmas card I've used the super adorable HANG ON! SANTA'S COMING.  I added a little bit of Stickles to the moon and stars to give them some sparkle.

Get Well or ELSE!

Get well, or else!  That's what I swear this nurse is thinking.  The nurse and doctor's office are both from Art Impressions.  I kept the card pretty simple and let the images be the focal point.  I did choose the other items carefully though.  I thought that this cuttlebug embossing border folder looked like an EKG print out. (I think that's what I'm thinking of).  I also thought that the little white eyelets were like pills.  The get well letters are cut from Sizzix Girls are Weird sizzletts.  Copic markers were used to color the images. 

Birthday birds

As I said yesterday, I did find a little time to stamp a few birthday cards. These are the other two that I made. I used some Inkadinkado clear stamps for the birds and Happy birthday phrase and the "one chick" phrase is from A Muse. I water colored the birds with ink and water and I love how they turned out. The color is really rich in person. I used some Stickles on their wings. The border on the white card is the Threading Water Fiskars punch. The circles on the yellow card were done with a Cuttlebug folder.

Happy Easter

I made my first Easter card of the year. The adorable tall bunny is from Dream Impressions. He's colored with Copic markers. The little chick and the funny bunny phrase are from an Inkadinkado $1 set. The tab was done with a McGill tab punch.

Happy Birthday George

I made this funny card for my Father-In-Law's birthday. I tried a design that I've never done before and I really like how it turned out. I made a tall, very thin card and then did my design on a rectangle that I placed in the middle. What do you think? The funny old couple are from Art Impressions as is the saying. I used dimensional paint for the icing and I put clear glaze on their glasses and on the arrow. I colored them with my Copic markers and used a pom pom for "George's" hat! The checked background behind the people was made with one of my Fiskars texture plates. I can't wait to try this style again.

Holiday Jingle

***********************************Eunice is back! These two stamps are from Art Impressions. She's colored with watercolor pencils and has stickles and puffed liquid applique for accents. Her red hat is done with fun flock. I love her stripes on her shirt and tights and took my paper inspiration for that. I used wire, beads, a brad and eyelets to make it look like it was a picture hanging on the wall. She's so funny! I can't wait to make other cards with this stamp.

Happy Father's Day George

It's safe to post this one now too. I sent this card to my Father-in-law. He's not an Elvis fan that I know of but I liked the King theme since he's kind of the "king" of the family. The Elvis stamp is 'Finger Clickin' Elvis' from Cornish Heritage Farms. There is a pocket behind Elvis and the removable tag says "It's good to be the king"... phrase from Inkadinkado. The tag was cut with my sizzix luggage tag die. The wavy Happy Father's Day is from Hero Arts. I used the music background from Rubbernecker stamps (http://www.rubbernecker.com/p-1470-graphics.aspx) and after I stamp it I used a corner punch to make the corners. The only coloring was to use a light blue & a light gray Copic on his jacket, boots and guitar. I liked how it turned out and he says he did too. I hope he had a good day. (They're in Florida so we didn't see them).
