Flying Birds and Bees cards from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

I'm so in love with the new little 5561 – Birds and Bugs Set.

Today I have two similar cards for you and one of them has some fun movement!

First I'll share the simpler one.

I used flowers from the 5401 – Easter Chicks Set.



I had so much fun making this card that I wanted to try a second one that's a little more complicated. I added far more flowers to this one.  I also made the bird and bee "fly" on this one.

This was super simple to do.  I just used a piece of acetate that I punched a circle through. I attached it with a brad very loosely so that it would sway back and forth.  The popped up clouds hide the mechanism.

New! Front Porch Halloween set from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

Who loves Halloween??

I do! I do!

 I was so excited when I saw the new 5487 – Front Porch Halloween Set which is part of the Front Porch Series.

I went a little dark and spooky with this one.  My kids both LOVE Halloween and being "scared."  Well,  kids...they're 22 and 23 but they're very much kids at heart when it comes to having a good scare at Halloween.

The awesome thing about this set is that you can go a little creepy or you can keep it totally cute for those that don't love that.

This set comes with coordinating dies which is great!  For my trees, I stamped and colored one of them and then cut it out.  For the rest, I just used the die to cut different shades of black and gray trees.

The little sign with BOO on it is from the Spooky Wagon set from the Ai Rides Series.

The fun scene inside the door is from the MB Halloween set.

Do you see my bats? They were cut out with the dies from the set.  I then used a piece of acetate and a brad to make them "FLY" through the air.  I love an interactive card!

Cloudy with a Chance...of Fairies!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing my card for the Art Impressions Cloudy with a Chance... challenge!

I've used the 5345 – Fairy Cubbies Set.

This is a fun fold to use and is SO easy to make. 

My pink base is 11 1/2" x 3 7/16"

Each of the floral panels inside is cut to 5 1/4" x 3 1/4".

The pink strip that holds the 4 little panels is 11 1/2" x 3/4".

Each of the 4 pink panels is 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and 

the floral squares are 2 5/16th x 2 5/16".

I cut the fairy tree in half and put the top on the front and the bottom inside my card.

I wanted it to look like the tree was growing and peeking up through the clouds.

Did you notice how the door opens and closes for the adorable little fairy to peek out of?

Aren't these fairies the cutest?

I used crystal Stickles on all of their wings for that little extra something.

Another Birthday? Holy Moley!

4934 – Holy Moley Set

from the Funny Farm series at Art Impressions.

I decided to try something a little different with the set.

I made it interactive.  When the pull tab is down it looks like a mound of dirt with a daisy growing in it.

I made my card for the current Ai challenge...

Birthday Cards.

Pull the tab up and there's a little surprise.

Out pops the mole!

I used the same method that you use with the Flutters.  I created a channel with foam tape to keep the tab in place.

I used one of the verses repeatedly inside and cute a 50 from some number dies.

Woodland Tree Cubbies! New Ai Critters

Hello Ai fans!

Did you see the amazing new release over at Art Impressions last week?

The new line is called Critter Cubbies.

Just like the Holiday Mansion there are lots
of doors and windows to peek out of.

On the inside I used two of the verses that come with the set.

I also used
5063 – Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies
and

5064 – Circle Double Stitched Dies

The set comes with dies to cut all of the animals, the tree and the leaves so NO FUSSY CUTTING!!  Hooray!

Workout Gal Wheelie! New line from Art Impressions!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card from the latest interactive line at Art Impressions. These are called Wheelies. They are super fun and surprisingly easy to make!

I used Workout Gal Wheelie on my card.

Isn't she the coolest?!

If you look at her leg and foot you'll see that they're attached with brads to her and the wheel of the bike.

 

When you turn the knob on the inside of the card her leg goes up and down and around like she's really peddling the bike. It's super cute!  The tab on the "turn" crank folds flat for mailing.  Perfect, right?

Art Impressions Puppies Flutter card

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing an interactive card with you.  For my card I've used
5032 – Puppies Flutter Set

This set is from the Flutters series at Art Impressions.

When you pull the little tab up and down their tails wag!

How cute is that??!

I love the variety of ways you can color these little guys.  I colored the guy in back to look a little like one of my dogs.
