Tres Chic photo challenge from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!
I'm the featured artist for the Art Impressions Tres Chic challenge.

I created three different cards using one of my very favorite sets.
5353 – Large Snowflake Dies

This is a photo inspiration challenge.

I was heavily inspired by the gingham/buffalo checks, the lace and gems, the black and white and the little pop of orange.

The cards with words on them used 5072 – Block Letters Die Set.

I used a combination of gold and black paper for my snowflakes and embellished them with some gems to add a pop of color.

I embossed the word SNOW with some snowflakes to make them pop.

I love when you can use a character or die that isn't a letter, to represent a letter. I used an orange gem because I was inspired by the orange pumpkins.

My final card is a slimline card and I used 5463 – Slimline Dies Set

This card and the SNOW card used Canson XL WC Paper Pad – 9×12.

I really love taking inspiration from photos and hope you all do as well.
I can't wait to see what you create!

Elegant Snowflakes from Art Impressions

I really love all of the cutesy style Christmas stamps that Art Impressions offers but sometimes I want something a little more elegant. I felt that these snowflakes were just the thing.

My card is for the Making Spirits Bright challenge here on the Art Impressions blog right now.

When I saw this set I snatched it up immediately!  It's one of my all-time favorite die sets.
5353 – Large Snowflake Dies

I used the Canson XL WC Paper Pad – 9×12 paper because I wanted something more cream colored rather than bright white.  I also wanted it to have a little texture.

For the snowflakes I die cut some and left them in.  For some I die cut it a second time and glued a second layer on top so they are a little popped up.

I used Wink of Stella and Prima Marketing 584276 Watercolor Confections: Decadent Pies to make some clear and gold sparkle splatters on it with a paint brush.

For some, I removed the inside pieces of the white paper and added gold inside. A few rhinestones and pieces of confetti completed the look.

Snowman lantern card

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I  made a card for a basket of cards I donated.

I used a retired Simon Says Stamp exclusive snowman from Art Impressions.

All Art Impressions products I used on my cards are linked below.

Christmas Front Porch from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

I have a 5489 – Front Porch Christmas Set easel card to share with you today.

This is an add on set to the 5512 – Front Porch Door Set series.

Most everything on this card is from the Front Door set or the Christmas Door set.
The snowy yard was made using heavily textured white paper and adding some Diamond Dust to it.

This is a fun, interactive set and the door opens and closes if you want it to so you can hide a little surprise behind it.

The window was made using the 5408 – ShadowBox Window Die that I trimmed down and just hid the seems behind other elements.

The snowflakes are from 5353 – Large Snowflake Dies set and I used real fabric for the curtains.

I used my Glistening Snow Writer to add snow to the sills and ledges and some stickles on other elements to make them sparkle.  The snowflakes were cut from glitter paper.
The house front was embossed with a folder called M-Boss 3D Embossing Folder EF3D023 from Nellie's Choice. (Brick Wall)

Mousey Christmas from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a Christmas card that I made using the new
5564 – Mousey Christmas Set.  This set comes with coordinating dies which makes your life SO much easier! No fussy cutting.  I feel like this is a very "busy" card for me but I really like it in person.

I used some really pretty gold paper and the 5353 – Large Snowflake Dies set.
I also used the 5132 – Tag Stitched Dies to stamp the sentiment on and to mount the adorable mouse.

Copics used:
RV55, RV91, RV93, BG11, BG15, W1, W3

My 10 year Art Impressions anniversary and GIVEAWAY!

Hello Ai fans!

Today is a big day for me, or at least the next couple days are.

How long have YOU been an Art Impressions fan?
For me it's been about 12 years.

Back when there were land lines in houses I can remember walking in from work and hearing my phone ring.  I answered the call and was invited to be a part of the Art Impressions Design Team.

I accepted the invitation and have never looked back.

Tomorrow is my 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!
How lucky am I??!!

For my 10 year anniversary I have a couple things...

First off... I have a giveaway!
Be sure to scroll all the way past my cards for the giveaway.

Secondly, I've had some medical issues the last few months.

My cards are Thank You cards for my medical team.

I made a few different versions because I have quite the staff!
Don't I sound fancy?? lol!

This set comes with several different adorable verses and
accessory stamps like the cute band-aid.

On my last card I modeled the black and white dotted mug over one that I have and love.
I'm planning on taking a goodie basket to them as well.  I hope they enjoy it!

For my third card I switched up the colors and paper.

I accessorized with some enamel dots and a button nurses hat.

Now...for the REALLY fun part.  For my anniversary I have a gift for YOU!
Since it's July I figured I'd give away a Christmas set because who doesn't love Christmas is July?

5353 – Large Snowflake Dies

These dies are so beautiful and are perfect for any winter craft even if you don't make cards.  You can use them on scrapbook layouts, ornaments and any other craft you love to do.

In order to be eligible all you need to do is leave a comment telling me if you like or don't like snow, or, maybe you've never even seen snow in person?  I know Art Impressions has fans from all of the country and the world so that's possible too!

I'll announce the randomly drawn winner next week on the blog.
Good luck!

I'll leave you with this...
This was my very first Design Team post way back on July 5th, 2011.
