I Brake for birds and nests!

Hello everyone!
Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made for my friend and co-worker.  She's the one that introduced me to the world of birding.  I can now name almost every bird local to my area by sight and many by sound as well!  Every year I try to make her a bird themed card.  When I saw this beautiful stamp from I Brake For Stamps I knew this would be her card this year!

The image is called ROBIN'S NEST.
(no, I didn't color it like a Robin...we'll call it artistic license!)

Here's the inside...

  And...a close up!

TryFold garden (without the fold)

Hello Ai fans!
Today I'm sharing a TryFold set with you.
This one's called  Garden TF (Sku#4203).
Can you tell that I'm ready for Spring?  We just got slammed with a big storm here in the northeast and it put me in the mood to make a card reflecting the weather I hope to see soon! I love the sweet little birds in the bath.

We don't see a lot of rabbits in our yard due to our large dog so I have to get mine in "stamp" form.  Isn't it cute?!

There's a whole series of TryFolds over at Art Impressions, each one prettier than the next.

Happy Birthday Makena

My daughter turns 10 today and we had such a great day!  We started out by going shopping with some of the money that family members had sent her.  Then I surprised her by taking her to get a new keyboard.  She has a kiddie keyboard but we thought she was ready for a real one.  She couldn't have been more excited!  For dinner she picked one of her favorite Italian restaurants and then we came home and went for a night time swim in the new pool.  She has had a fascination with peace signs and punch bugs lately so most of her gifts (earrings, necklace, shirt) had a peace sign on them.  For her card I happened to find this old die cut in a bin with some stickers that I never use.  It was perfect for her.  I used a few other die cuts... sizzix small cloud for clouds and leaves and sizzix bare tree.  The grass was done with a Martha Stewart punch.  She loved it!

Winter Wonderland

This card is for the Art Impressions November contest: The Beauty of Nature. I thought 'tis the season for snow and snowmen so I built on that theme. I absolutely love the new tree and fence stamps. Actually they're all so darn cute from the snowman to the birds (which are taken from the scarecrow stamp) to the cute little rocks. They have the best stamps! I colored everything with my copics and used clear glue and white snow shaped glitter to make the snow that's covering everything. There are some tiny little punched snowflakes as well. I love the soft color scheme. It really does remind me of a wintry day. As the phrase says... Let it snow!
