Today we took the kids to a local nature preserve where they were releasing a rehabilitated
Great-Horned Owl back into the wild. It was an amazing experience. She wasn't in any hurry to go back. Who can blame her. It's cold and she'll have to start finding her own food again! The man who found her thinks she was probably hit by a car while she was hunting. I'm so glad that she was rescued and has healed. We're so lucky to have such wonderful programs available to us locally.
