I created two very similar versions, both using the new 

5942 – Tiny Glass Bottle Set.
When I saw this stamp set, I immediately thought...

you have sprinkles in the pantry!

How cute would it be to have the little jar full of sprinkles, 

you know...in case your

donut doesn't have enough...lol!

Recliner Laugh Lines

Hello Ai fans!

As you know, Art Impressions has a funny series of sets called Laugh Lines.  They've recently added to fun, new sets to the line. 

I've used 5421 – Sit Back Laugh Lines.

On the front I stamped the verse in the

5133 – Flag Double Stitched Dies.

I also used the 5408 – ShadowBox Window Die

to make it look like we are looking into his living room.

When you open up my card you enter his living room.  

He "pops" up and his recliner shakes on its wobble!

The verse on the inside is stamped on 5065 – Oval Double Stitched Dies.

If you notice the front of the card, the window is actually faux.

What I mean is that I didn't make it so that you could actually see through

the window.  I just made it look like you could.  The reason for that was so that

on the inside I could make it look like there were deer just outside his window.

This is how it is at my house.  My husband can be sitting in his chair and the

deer (or more recently...bear) stroll on by.

I made it a pop up card so that his chair was away from the wall and window the way they'd be in real life.

Doesn't the wobble make it look like he just "ejected" his foot rest from the recliner?

          

I made a second living room scene using the same window and 

the girlfriends this time. I used SC0677 – Wine Divas.

Can't you just hear them rapping on the window saying..."We're here!! Let us in for some wine too!!"

lol!! "  I used 5281 – We’re Here Set.  

   

The girlfriend in the chair is popped up dimensional foam tape and the Hello die come with the ShadowBox window die.

New Girlfriends from Art Impressions!

Hello Ai fans!
Are you as excited about the new Girlfriends as I am?
I thought about just making a card or two but something about this fun, new birthday set said "Birthday Banner" to me.



I've made it my mission to start using things in my craft room that are, well, shall we say...senior citizens? Ha ha!  Stuff that I bought because I just HAD to have it and then it just sat there.
I had these fun little clips that I thought would be perfect for holding the twine to the banners.



Don't worry if you don't have anything like this.  I also considered colorful, shaped paper clips or fun little clothes pins too.  Anything that clips or pinches would work.  Taping a piece of a straw to the back and running the twine through would also be an option, but then I stumbled onto my cute clips.

I used 5134 – Banner Double Stitched Dies to cut the 3 banners out.

The sentiments are all stamped on 5133 – Flag Double Stitched Dies.

I apologize for the darker photos.  I couldn't get this into my lightbox to photograph it so these aren't the best photos.

I think most of us work with other people.  It may be in a school like me, an office, a store...wherever.  And, someday, hopefully soon, we'll be back with those people again.  I thought this would be cute to put on the door or in the classroom of the next birthday person.  Then she could pass it on to the next person. Isn't that fun?

The set consists of one large and two small images as well as 3 verses that you can choose from.  I've used the smaller images on the inside of my card as well as a second sentiment.

Since my paper piecing and fussy cutting took me a little while I kept the rest of my card pretty simple...a few snowflakes and sparkly thread and I was pretty much done.  I did outline the stitching on the 5135 – Hexagon Double Stitched Dies and 5133 – Flag Double Stitched Dies with a silver paint pen.

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing another card for my friend that's been in the hospital.

Char is of "that age"...lol!! where she may or may not have hot flashes. Okay...she does.

We're always teasing her because she's always looking for a fan to stand in front of.  My card fits with the current challenge on the blog.

I started working at the school 12 yrs ago.  There are only 4 of us "originals" left and this image really makes me think of us!  I'm the "baby" compared to them they've each worked at the school for 20+ years.
