Holiday Mansion winter scene

Hello Ai fans!
Today I'm sharing the Art Impressions Holiday Mansion and HM Accessories.
I also used the Ai Snowflake Dies.

I fell in love with Diane's idea to use a tea light behind the mansion and just had to give it a try.
Since she made a Halloween card I thought I'd make a Christmas version.
You can see her card I was inspired by HERE.

I used an acetate card base so that the tea light would glow more.  I liked feeling like the house was set in it's yard and you could see the front and back yards making it more dimensional.

Open the front door and you see the verse.

Here's the inside.

I also made a coordinating gift box with some more of the HM Accessories.

One little pointer if you decide to try something like this. I wanted the house to be all silver because I thought it was festive.  You can't see the lines enough for them to matter but you can see them enough to bug me...Next time I'll probably stamp the image on cardstock first.  Then I'll cut it out and use it as a template to cut out the specialty paper.

Happy Birthday Braedyn!

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing my niece's birthday card.
I've used a very sweet image from I Brake for Stamps called

The birthday verse on the inside is from
(or on the single Tiger Set)

My new obsession is acetate.  I love being able
to see through to the front of the card.

Cammy has such a sweet look about
her which reminds me of my niece.

It never expires and can be used over and over again!

Yellow lilacs for a birthday

Hello and happy Saturday!

Today I'm sharing a different kind of window card.
This time I used acetate to make a mostly clear front.

The text is from EVERY DAY PHRASES and the flower is called LARGE LILAC.

My friend needed a birthday card for her sister-in-law and her only request was that it be pretty.  She was very pleased.

And yes...I realize that lilacs aren't yellow.  Let's just say I used "artistic license" on this one!

Coffee BFF's Gift Box from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

Today we have such a fun challenge. (I'm not even a coffee drinker and I think so!)

Our new challenge over at Art Impressions is to make something coffee themed.
I chose to make a gift. This would be a perfect thank you (or for any occasion) gift box for a friend.  I placed some single serve coffee packets inside it.

My box uses a couple of different sets.

Can't you just picture strolling by this little cafe and
seeing this woman having coffee with her friend?

I love the little sack of beans with the grinder.

Every cafe has to have their name in some cute way on the front of the building.

I just love this little sentiment that comes with the Coffee BFFs set.
It was "perk-fect" for the top of my box!  Ha!  Those of you who've followed my creations through the years know I'm a sucker for puns!  Sorry...I know it's lame.

The roof lifts off to reveal the gift inside.  My son was so cute...as soon as he saw it he said..."hey, you repurposed a milk carton!"  Well, I didn't.  This was completely free-handed or "winged"...whatever you want to call it.  It's almost the exact same size though so I can see why he thought that!

Hope you like it and that you're somehow inspired to create something for a friend.
