Makena recently had her dance recital. This was her fourth one and she wasn't even 8 yet. She's very excited because next year she'll get her 5 year trophy. She takes dance very seriously choosing to attend class even when it conflicts with her sports. Fortunately that doesn't happen very often. This year she took 4 classes, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Hip Hop and she did a duet for the first time. This meant that I missed the majority of the recital since she has to be backstage 5 numbers before her own and I had to help her change 5 times! These photos are from the dress rehearsal. We had to rush there after getting Dominick dressed and driving him to his baseball game. In our haste we walked out without her little red skirt... oh well, that's why we have rehearsals. She's the one in the middle of the photo with no skirt on. The other photo is her with the girl she did the duet with. The recital went flawlessly. They all did a great job.
