2010's last Sensational Saturday with Sugar Creek Hollow

It seems like this has arrived way too quickly.  This is our final Sugar Creek Hollow post for 2010.
Normally we do one card but for this last post I couldn't make up my mind so I made two!

I'm hooked on the Baby Jesus Portrait from Sugar Creek Hollow!  I think this is the first time that I've actually just printed the image in the black in white shade that it comes in.  The other times I've used it I changed the color of the digi a bit.  I chose my papers based on the fact that I got a new pad (DCWV Black Currant Stack) and I was dieing to try some of them out.  Simple as that.   The ones I wanted to work with went nicely with this image in B&W.

Look at the detail in that image!  The artist was a young lady from Poland who designed this stamp exclusively for Sugar Creek Hollow.  I changed the color of the lovely scroll that Donna designed so that it matched my card better.  I made the flower using some punches I had and the paper is from an old atlas.

If you would like to see other cards made with this stamp here are a couple of links...splitcoaststampers and the Sugar Creek Hollow blog.  There are some wonderfully inspiring projects out there!

Here's the inside of my card...

and...since I feel like all of my SCH posts lately have been Baby Jesus "heavy"  I wanted to leave you with another beautiful image.  This card was made with the Butterfly Angel digi.  I changed the image from black to brown to coordinate better with my papers.

This layout is courtesy of Midnight Madness.  This is MMSC84. I took several photos because this card is heavy on the glitter and it's very difficult to photograph.

I've entered the angel card in the following challenges...

Here's a close up.  Notice the spray glitter on the sheet music.  I love sparkle!!

I can't wait to see what Tracy comes up with next.  I know she's been hard at work.  To view what all of the other amazing designers chose for their last SCH post of 2010 click here.  Although...even though technically this is the last official challenge post of 2010 I know I have other cards in the works so you won't have to wait too long to get your SCH fix!

Incredibly gorgeous Renee! The Jesus card is wonderful with it's collage of details. But the angel card is a jaw-dropping stunner of a creation. I'll bet this is amazing in real life with its glittery, shimmery accents. So interesting to gaze upon with the textures and harmony of patterns. Love the mounting of the angel on the coordinating green paper-makes it really pop. And these colors are such a fresh take for a Christmas card-beautiful together. What an inspiration!
Wishing you a blessed Christmas.
Hugs to you,
Sharon
