Tweetheart Shaker with Quilted Background

Hello Ai fans!

Today we have Art Impressions first challenge of the year.
Try a new technique.

About a year ago I got the Tim Holtz Alterations Honeycomb die.
Sadly...it just sat there.

I was sort of intimidated by it...not quite sure how to use it but since I love bees so much I had to have it.  I decided it was a huge waste of money not to give it a try.  I die cut a piece and didn't like the way it looked at all.  Then it hit me...I could use it like a template.  I laid the cut out portion on my paper and started placing the cut outs inside and gluing them down.

Before you know it...I had a quilt.  I love it!
I will say it was very labor intensive so I can see why a lot of people only do small portions on their cards.

The sweet little image is from Ai and it's called 4363 – Tweetheart Set.

The image is a Valentine's shaker.  What's a shaker you ask?  It's the coolest thing...there's a separate portion of the image on another stamp and you pop it up on a wobble.  What's a wobble you ask??  It makes part of your image jiggle.  Super cute huh?!  They come in two different sizes depending on the size of the stamp you want to wiggle.

On the inside I used the 4619 – Window Die to make the Hi.

Scroll down for the video of the cute little shaker!

What a great background, Renee - I can only imagine how long it took, but I like the way you used the negatives. And your Hi is genius!!
