Congrats on your retirement!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing my card for the Fun with Flowers challenge at Art Impressions.
I also have a bonus, similar card but without flowers.

My flowers come from my paper and dies,
but the fun set?  That's all Art Impressions!

I've used 3 Ai products.
The main image and some of the accessories are from the 4998 – Office Party Set.

The flower dies are from my friend Debbie.  I'm not sure who makes them.

My frames and mattes were cut using 5063 – Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies.

On my second card I used the chair from the 5445 – MB Office.

This card was for one of my husband's clients.  She had a meeting with him on her last day of work ever so he took her a goody bag and this card.

Are we there yet??

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing the card I made for the current challenge...Scenic Route over at Art Impressions.  I've used pieces from this set in the past but I've never created a card with an entire scene using them.  I really like how this turned out.

I decided to take advantage of all the layers that a side step card gives you.  I used 9 stamps from the Road Trip set.  The trees are from the new 5327 – Christmas Mini Dies set.  All of the new mini dies are such a wonderful addition to all your cards.

Let's Bake Some Memories!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a student.

This card came about because of my birthday.  My birthday is March 14 but that was a Saturday this year.  The 5th graders at my school figured out that Wednesday the 11th would be the last time they'd see me before that.  The kids didn't have school Thursday or Friday. They asked if we could celebrate on Wednesday.  I decided to bake enough cookies so that all of the kids (and of course all of my work friends) could have two cookies each.  Let me tell you...that's a lot of cookies!

This set is from the Work and Play line.

13 lbs. of dough!!
I made about 175 cookies.

One of the girls told me they were the best Chocolate Chip cookies she had ever had and asked if we could trade recipes. I used my grandmother's recipe that I have tweaked and she had her grandmother's shortbread recipe.  Well, unfortunately, that was the last time I saw her.  They announced the school closure on my birthday that Saturday.  Though I had to work Monday to help get their learning bags together the kids haven't been back to school.  I decided that shouldn't stop us though.  I made her this card and sent my recipe to her.  Hopefully she and her family will "Bake some memories!"

Sending a few bucks...

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a masculine card that I made using the 5043 Ole Buck set.

I've combined two of my favorite types of cards to make here...masculine and fall themed cards.

Hunting is very popular where I live. I've used this set many times for fall birthdays.  Everyone has loved the cards that I made.

Happy Retirement! New Art Impressions Work and Play!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card made with one of the new Work and Play sets!

The set I'm sharing is called 5187 – Happy Trails Set.

I made a 3-D card with 3 layers. Each one features at least one image from the set.  In total I used 7 stamps from the set.

This is the view as seen from above.  You can get a better idea about the dimension from this photo.

Isn't this set so much fun?!

Wild Thing! from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a masculine card with you.  These are always some of my very favorite to create!  Since I first saw 5044 – Born To Ride Set I wanted to combine it with this set of dies from Spellbinders.  The gears just screamed out for a motorcycle don't you think?

This set is from the Work & Play series at Art Impressions. If you're not familiar with it, it's a series of sets where people are either at their workplace with humorous sayings or they are enjoying their hobby.

This card is very special to me.  I have a cousin who has been battling melanoma for the last three years.  She remembers her first chemo treatment and received a small box from a kind donor when she went.  She has now created a group called Michelles Mission where she collects donations from kind people and creates bags using her "31" business.  There is a card included in every bag.  She has to buy some but when she can get something homemade she prefers that. She stocks tote bags full of goodies like fuzzy socks, blankets, snacks, playing cards, tissues and hand sanitizer, water or juice and peppermints for upset stomach.  All sorts of things to make treatments more bearable.  I'm so proud of her.  If you'd like to be a part of Michelles Mission you can join her FB page and see what it's all about HERE.  If you'd like to contribute a card, several cards or place an order to be sent to the mission I can give you the address to send them.  There is also a Go Fund Me page if you'd like to donate a monetary gift.

I printed my own verse for the inside that says "Shift into high gear and kick cancer's butt!"  I hope it inspires someone to fight!

Par-Tee with the King of the Club from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

Summer is basically over but I have one last "summer" themed card to share.  We have a local PGA Senior Golf Tourney here in my area and one of our family friends gave us corporate tent tickets.  I wanted to thank him so I used Art Impressions   4902 – Par-Tee Golfers Set

Ray may not be the ACTUAL King of the Club but he is to us.  He always makes a point to include my husband and myself and it's always such a fun time!

My brother-in-law played in the Pro-Am and had a lot of fun as well!
This is us at the surf and turf dinner that night.

I'm sharing this to show you how much a personalized handmade card means to people.  From the Ai People to teachers, nurses, watercolor stamps...Every Ai stamp would mean something when sent to the right person. I know our friend Ray and his wife will enjoy this card.

Roomba Zoom Zoom!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I decided to take two of the new Work and Play sets and turn them into a slider card.  As soon as I saw the cat on the "Roomba" I knew I wanted him
to fly across the floor to torment the dog!

5110 – Housework Set
5111 – Loads of Fun Set

This is the card when it's closed.
I used the 4764 – Slider Die.

Here it is open so you can see the verse behind the slider.
Then, as you close it back up...he zooms over to the dog.

I used another image and verse on the inside.
How true is this?  If you're reading this post then you're a card maker.  Who wouldn't rather craft than clean!

Loads of Fun! from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

It's my turn to feature Art Impressions newest release.
Today I'm sharing the latest Work and Play set called
Loads of Fun.

The challenge this week is Shaped Cards and I decided to do a hexagonal easel card using 5135 – Hexagon Double Stitched Dies.

Also, on the inside I used 5064 – Circle Double Stitched Dies

I made a second card with another one of the images from the set.
I love dogs so much!  My dogs are both far too large to sneak into the laundry basket but I do occasionally catch them up on the couch where they know they don't belong!

Here's another of the cute verses from the set...and there are MANY!

Isn't he the sweetest?
