A Golden Hello!

Hello Ai fans and welcome to the latest Bi-Weekly Challenge.

This one is Spritz, Splatter AND PAINT!

The reason behind this fun new challenge?
There is amazing new gold paint available at Art Impressions!

You can splatter this on your projects, add highlights, paint paper, stamp with it...yes, you heard me...It is SO gorgeous and versatile.

To enter our challenge it doesn't have to be gold. You can use the ever popular Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White, some spritzes you may have on hand or any other paint that you like to craft with.

Today I've created a card where I painted Canson XL WC Paper Pad – 9×12 and then die cut a frame from 5588 – Journal Oval Frames Die Set. Then, when I was almost finished, I took a paint brush and spattered little dots all over.

Read my post to hear all about it.

I die cut my frame and then painted it gold with a large brush. I used watercolor paper so that there would be less warping and then I cut a second piece to glue it to so that it would lay flatter and be thicker so that I could pop it up on dimensional foam tape.

My layered flower is from the new 6042 – Corner Bookmark Dies.

That beautiful gold border peeking out from under the frame was a happy accident. I used the 5972 – BJ Decorative Margin Dies on my recent PEACE Christmas card and this was the leftover remnant. I liked the way the "throw away" part looked so I embossed it and also painted that gold.

I die cut my two Hellos from 5408 – ShadowBox Window Die and 5718 – Mini Journal Template and the bees are from 5805 – Mini Journal Box Dies. See those tiny little pink hearts near the hello? Read on to see where those came from.

After I die cut the butterfly from 5811 – Gift Card Pocket Dies I was cleaning up the scraps. I noticed that two of the little pieces looked like hearts so I saved those.

After my card was completely assembled, I took my Royal Round Detail Brush #1, dipped into the paint and used my finger to TAP on the brush, spattering beautiful gold dots all over.

Look at all that golden goodness!! I feel like this is one of those things that you never missed because you didn't have it, but then once you have it, you wonder what on Earth you did without it!??? LOL!
I used the end of my paintbrush to curl the petals and leaves after I used brown ink to "age" the edges a bit.

I hope I've inspired you to try out some paint on your projects! It doesn't have to be gold. You can use the ever popular Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White, some spritzes you may have on hand or any other paint that you like to craft with.

Valentine Windows from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing two Valentine cards that I made.
I kept these small at 3 3/8" xx 4 1/2" because I wanted to
use the border die from the 5543 – Journal Template Die Set.

The red and white striped hearts were made with a die from the Journal set as well.
The Hello die comes with the shadowbox frame set.

The window frame is from 5408 – ShadowBox Window Die.

The Windows to the World set is called M4586 – Memories Window.
I chose it for Valentine's day because of the two birds.  They made me think
of love birds.

I also used a page die from the Journal set.

Christmas Front Porch from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

I have a 5489 – Front Porch Christmas Set easel card to share with you today.

This is an add on set to the 5512 – Front Porch Door Set series.

Most everything on this card is from the Front Door set or the Christmas Door set.
The snowy yard was made using heavily textured white paper and adding some Diamond Dust to it.

This is a fun, interactive set and the door opens and closes if you want it to so you can hide a little surprise behind it.

The window was made using the 5408 – ShadowBox Window Die that I trimmed down and just hid the seems behind other elements.

The snowflakes are from 5353 – Large Snowflake Dies set and I used real fabric for the curtains.

I used my Glistening Snow Writer to add snow to the sills and ledges and some stickles on other elements to make them sparkle.  The snowflakes were cut from glitter paper.
The house front was embossed with a folder called M-Boss 3D Embossing Folder EF3D023 from Nellie's Choice. (Brick Wall)

Shadowbox Sledding Window Shaker from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!
Today I have two similar cards for you.
The first one is a shaker card using the 5408 – ShadowBox Window Die.

My card was created for the Buttons and Bows challenge on the blog right now.

My buttons and bow were made with dies from the 5318 – MB Envelope Dies and 5543 – Journal Template Die Set.

Inside my window is the 5454 – Sledding Window Set.

My second card used the same window and shadowbox die.  This time I used the actual shadowbox portion to give it dimension.  I also have the little snowman popped up to add more depth.

The sentiment is from 5566 – Christmas Sentiments and is stamped on paper cut from more dies from the Journal Template set.

Below you can see how 3D this shadowbox window is and the best part is, it folds flat for mailing!

I hope you'll enter something in the Buttons and Bows challenge!
You could win a free stamp set.

Sing your Thanks! from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

Last Sunday I shared two Hello cards using this window.
I loved them so much that I made two more.  This time I made a thank you card and a sympathy card.

I used the M4878 – Oh Sing Window to make my cards.
The window die adds so much dimension to these cards.  I don't know about you, but I love when a card is more than a flat piece of paper.

The shadowbox and frame were made using the
5408 – ShadowBox Window Die.

The Windows to the World series has a window for every occasion!

Sing Hello Windows from Art Impressions

Hello Ai fans!

Today I have two window cards for you.
The Windows to the World series is one of my all-time favorites and when the Shadowbox die was added, I couldn't have been happier.

I used the Hello die that's included with the window die and I chose to pair it with the
M4878 – Oh Sing Window.

5408 – ShadowBox Window Die

I decided to use a soft, blue paper for my second card.   Sometimes in the middle of winter you just need a spring like pick-me-up!

Which one is YOUR favorite window?
I own nearly every one and I know I could never choose!

Boo! Do spiders scare you? by Reneé Matarese

 Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing a card made with the new 5462 – Web Dies Set.

I HATE spiders SO MUCH!!
However,  I desperately love them and spider webs on my Halloween cards!

I used several other sets on my card as well.

and
5333 – Cats Mini Dies

I'm not sure my card will be everyone's cup of tea.
I'm partial to holiday cards in non-traditional colors.
I'll be honest,  I've never made a pastel pink Halloween
card but I'm very happy with this one!

I cut the letters twice so that I could create a shadow behind the main letters.
Halloween is so much fun, especially with my job in an elementary school.
I always need lots of fun cards!
