Thank You Coach!

Hello and happy Sunday!

My friend needed a thank you card for her
daughter's Cross Country coaches and she asked
me to make something in our school colors.

I tried my best to replicate the jerseys that they wear.

On the front of the card I used Simply Thank You
from Simon Says Stamp.
The jersey is from Close to my Heart. C1154 Basketball.
The sentiments on the inside are from Sporty Accessories
and Just so Sporty from Melanie Muenchinger.  (Gina K)
from Art Impressions

I also made some envelopes in our school colors to match the cards.

Let's kick cancer's butt!

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing a couple of cards that I made for my cousin's organization,
Michelles Mission.

My cousin is battling melanoma and after going through years of treatments she decided to create an organization to help first time cancer patients.  She has a 31 business (they sell bags, purses and storage solutions for those who don't know) and her goal is to present each person with a bag filled with comfort items at their first chemo treatment.  She collects items like tissues, snacks, candles, socks, blankets, journals, crosswords, peppermints for upset stomach and cards to name just a few.  Some of these items are for while they're at the treatments and some are for when they are home recovering.  She has been through this so many times so she knows exactly what people would want and need.

I made two of each version.  Inside there is a cancer ribbon stamp and a verse that says "No one compare to you."  4454 – FDMD Set from Art Impressions.

The shirt, cancer ribbon, sweatshirt and U Rock stamps are all from Gina K.

Purple Sympathy and Birthday

 Hello and happy Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing two very similar cards.  The first is a sympathy card and the second is a birthday card.  I used the same papers and layout but changed up the sentiments.

The frame and sentiments are from Gina K.
The frames were cut using the coordinating Spellbinders die
and the cross is from SB too.
The ink is Blackberry Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink.

Happy Birthday Sophia!

Hello and happy Tuesday!

Today I'm sharing a birthday card that I made for my friends niece.  She just turned 3 and the card requirements were...shapes, especially triangles,  Elmo and numbers.  I decided to make the card shape the triangle and use dotted paper on it.  I used a three because that was her age, a clip art Elmo and I added her name.

I used some clear acetate that I had left over from some product packaging to attach the letters so that it looked like the letters were floating.  The "3" was traced and cut from a stencil.  The flowers and letters are from the Hippy Chic alphabet set from Cuttlebug.

Inside I used a birthday verse from Gina K.

It's time to thank the coaches!

My daughter is a dancer and one of her dance friend's mom's asked me to make 3 thank you cards for her son's wrestling coaches.  There's a head coach and two assistant coaches, one of which is her husband.  She was very happy with all the cards and admitted she'll give her favorite to her husband.  She wasn't sure which one it would be when I gave them to her.  The school colors are orange and black so they were fun to make.

When she asked me to make the cards I knew I had some sports themed stamps but not wrestling...or so I thought.  As I started digging I was thrilled to come across the "wrestling" word in my Tee Talk set from Gina K.  I have several of her sports themed sets and hadn't cut up the little words yet.

I kept the inside simple since she wanted all the boys to have room to sign their names.  They're all around 6-7 years old so I know they probably write pretty big.

I love all the little accent stamps in Gina K stamps.  The whistle is just so cute!!

I stamped all the hoodies on orange paper and then colored them with orange Copic markers to add dimension.  I wish you could see it better in the photos.

I'm so glad Tanya asked for these cards.  These are some of my favorite sets and I had a lot of fun making these!

Happy Birthday Riley!

Hello everyone!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my niece's 13th birthday.  My 12 yr. old helped me choose the colors though I don't think it mattered.  She tore open the card, pulled out the money and then thanked me.  I don't think she even looked at the card.
