Happy Retirement! from Art Impressions

 Hello Ai fans!

One of my friends is retiring at the end of this school year and I wanted to make her a fun card.  She loves to travel and has done so throughout her career.  I can only imagine where she'll go once she all the time in the world to do so.

For my card I used SO MANY Art Impressions sets.

You can find links to all of them at the end of my post.

My card was made for the current Inside Out challenge.

I wanted to incorporate all forms of travel because her 3 children are scattered throughout the world.  Sometimes she hops a plane,  sometimes it's a road trip.  I'm not sure if she's cruised yet but isn't that what retirement is for?

My images were all colored using Copic markers.  Some were cut with coordinating dies and some were but with my Brother Scan and Cut.  It's a lifesaver for older sets that don't have dies.

Some of those images are tiny so I whipped out my TwinTones for the fine details.

Are we there yet??

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing the card I made for the current challenge...Scenic Route over at Art Impressions.  I've used pieces from this set in the past but I've never created a card with an entire scene using them.  I really like how this turned out.

I decided to take advantage of all the layers that a side step card gives you.  I used 9 stamps from the Road Trip set.  The trees are from the new 5327 – Christmas Mini Dies set.  All of the new mini dies are such a wonderful addition to all your cards.

For my favorite co-worker!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing the card that I made for the Art Impressions Coffee Cards challenge.

I used stamps from 3 different sets on my card.
4998 – Office Party Set (woman & verse on front)
5113 – Pand-tastic Set (mug & verse inside)
4931 – Road Trip Set (small coffee cup on front)

I also used 5133 – Flag Double Stitched Dies for the verse on the front.

You can join the Coffee challenge by clicking on the banner below.

This is the inside of my card.

I used a piece of acetate to connect the two front panels.  I like the little peek-a-boo effect it gives and I like how it makes it look like the verse is holding the panels together.

Pack Your Bags!

Hello Ai fans!

Today I'm sharing my daughter's dance friends card and my niece's graduation card.  This is a little outside the box because as you can see...there's no grad cap or congratulations or anything like that on my card.

Instead I used two Art Impressions sets called
and

Kelly is going off to Nebraska to become a "Cornhusker."

My niece has accepted a job as a nanny in Minnesota.
She flew out a few weeks ago to spend time with the kids and get familiar with the area.  She'll go back after graduation.

I made a cute little suitcase that matches the card to put her gift in.

Both of these sets come with a LOT of images and verses which makes them very versatile.

Here's the inside of Riley's card.
Copics used:
B04, B23, BG72, C1, C5, E31, E35

This is what the suitcase looked like in the beginning. I just measure it and covered it with paper.  I used a tab punch to make the handle and used a very old Sizzix buckle die and luggage tag to complete it.
