Today I made my own light box. I've wanted one for a long time but they're so darn expensive and since this is just a hobby I couldn't justify the cost. Then I stumbled across directions to make your own... soooo simple! You basically just cut up a cardboard box, cover it with a cheap (I got mine at the dollar store) pillow case and get a white piece of cardboard for inside. I used an old gift box I had. I was amazed at how well it worked. I'll try to take a picture of it tomorrow to show you. It's not pretty but, hey, it works and it was $1 vs. $150 or more! This Halloween card was the first thing I photographed in it. Can you see the difference between this and some of my older photos? I sure can. I think it looks far more professional. I'm pretty proud of myself.

do you think a lightbox would help in taking photos of things like paintings and drawings?
sometimes I have artwork that is too big to scan, but it is very hard for me to take a good photo of it.

p.s. : Your cards are adorable. ^^ I have a cousin who also likes to make cards and other paper things. I will have to tell her about your blog, I'm sure she'd enjoy looking through all your crafts. :)
