Stayin' Afloat with the Girlfriends

Hello Ai Fans!
Today I have a fun summer birthday card and a tutorial for you.
I know easel cards have been around for a while but there are always new people discovery the fun world of card making who still want to learn!

I've used lots of fun images and verses from Art Impressions on my card.  The main image is from the Girlfriends line and it's from the Stayin' Afloat set.  The verse is called Waded.   The verse I used to hold the card open when it's popped up is called Deep End.

On the inside I stamped Happy Birthday.

Now, for those of you who don't know how to make an easel card here are my instructions.

1. Cut a 12" x 6" piece of navy paper and score it at 3" and 6".

2. Fold on score lines.
3. Cut a 6" x 6" piece of navy paper for the front, a 3" x 5 3/4" SKY piece, a 3" x 5 3/4" WATER piece and a 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" WATER piece for the inside.  Adhere them all to the front or inside of the card accordingly.
4. Stamp, color and cut out main image and wave piece. Reserve negative of the wave you cut if you want to use it on the inside portion like I did. (it will be tough to see in the photo since the colors are so close)

5. Adhere the girlfriends and waves using dimensional tape and stamp your verse on the front.

6. Cut and adhere clouds.

7. Stamp verse and cut out with die/punch. Place on dimensional foam tape.  This part will hold your
front up when it's open.
